Hi Tom,
I was just about to ask for a Custom M6 and M30 along with the Tool Length offset being applied after a Tool is selected. Very nice additions all around :)

One thing i noticed is in the G viewer. If i move or rotate for more than a few seconds the movements in G viewer become very small. Is this a setting on my end?

Thanks again,
Troy

Hi Troy,

Thanks for trying the new Test Version.  BTW we plan on this Version being the next Major Release as soon as it has some time with no significant issues reported.  So we appreciate reports of any issues.

The behavior you describe is by design and was added in a previous Version.  The intent is to help view small features.  For example imagine a system with a large range of travel such as 1m x 1m x 1m.  In order to move quickly to any spot the movement has to be something like 5mm per mouse click to move to any region in a reasonable amount of time.  But let's say your intent is to approach right up close to view a 1mm feature.  Previously it was not really possible because the 5mm steps might jump right by it.  We now assume that after 2 seconds of movement you are close to where you wish to be and the granularity of motion automatically reduces 20X to allow fine adjustment in position.  To switch back to rapid/coarse motion briefly release the mouse button.  There are no settings to change this behavior.

Regards
TK

Hi Tom,
Can the customizing i have done to KMotionCNC be transferred to the next version release or do i have to redo everything in the next version release?

Thanks,
Troy

Unfortunately any User specific customization must be re-applied to each Version. There are tools like Subversion (SVN) that make this easier if not completely automatic. It basically can extract the differences between two code bases and apply the differences two a third code base.

We are considering putting our code on github to make this easier.  Do you think this would work well for you?

Hi Tom,
Still a total nube at code, but this is very interesting(SVN). Never really payed attention to just what Git Hub is.
Thats a neat idea, dont know how much i could help, but iam sure others here could. I think for now i will just redo my customizations to the next release,... that will give me some more practice. ;)

Thanks again,
Troy
